ULTRA RUNNINGS

Swissultra offers ultra runs for the first time in 2023!

The running course is about 1.2 kilometers long and leads over footpaths and forest paths around the outdoor swimming pool Buchs. One marathon corresponds to 35 laps. The course is flat throughout. About three quarters are paved; one section is gravel and one section is a natural path through the forest. About half of the course is in the shade (forest). The running course is illuminated during the night. The running course is officially measured by Swiss-Athletics course measurer (SLV).

Accompaniment is not allowed for participants in ultrarunning competitions. The crew may provide food, drink and clothing in the designated support zone. The bib number must always be worn visibly. Participants may walk or run, but may not use other aids such as walking sticks. They must finish the race under their own power. Listening to music is allowed, but each participant must ensure that he or she is aware of warning signals and is responsive at all times.

Race briefing and award ceremony will take place in the area of Freibad Rheinau. Start/finish is in the parking area of the open-air swimming pool Rheinau. There will be no measurement of the remaining meters.

The entry fee includes the following services, among others:

• Food stands along the course with snacks, water, soft drinks (non-alcoholic) and fruits (depending on the weather)
• Electricity and internet access (WLAN) in the support area
• Massage service (according to the availability of the masseurs)
• Lighting of the running track and support zone during the night
• Race briefing and award ceremony at the competition area in the open-air swimming pool Rheinau
• For 6 days and 1000 km runners, a 3x3m pavilion can be provided directly at the running course. Depending on the requirements, double allocation is possible.
• For rest breaks during the race, a rest tent is available in the outdoor pool area. Mats and blankets are to be brought by the athletes themselves.

Can be ordered on site for an additional charge:

• Catering: up to two hot meals per day including salad, dessert and coffee, plus sandwiches and soup as requiredad Rheinau

Registration is possible online until 3 days before the start of the race.
Late registration with late registration fee if there are still slots available.
The organizer reserves the right to close the registration early due to too high or too low registration numbers.

Especially for intercontinental transfers, the use of Wise is recommended to save fees and time.

• If the cancellation is received by June 30, 2023, 50% of the total entry fee will be refunded.
• In case of illness or accident, we can refund 50% of the total entry fee if an athlete deregisters by August 1, 2023 and provides a medical certificate. After that date, no refund is possible anymore.

Basically, our regulations apply according to the waiver, which are accepted with the registration.
