DECA one per day

THE RACE

The DECA ultratriathlon (day variant) is a race over a total distance of 2260 kilometers. The athletes have to complete one Ultratriathlon each day for 10 consecutive days: 3.8 kilometers swim, 180 kilometers bike and 42.2 kilometers run.

Start: Monday, 17 August 2020, 7.00 a.m., Buchs outdoor swimming pool
Award ceremony: Thursday, August 27, 2020

TIME LIMITS

Time limit per day: 20 hours
Swim: 2 hours each day (7.00 - 9.00 am)
Bike: every day until 11.00 pm
Run: until 3.00 am on the following day
End of competition: Sunday, 1. September 2019, 03:00 am

REGISTRATION

The registration is possible until 1 July 2020. In the event of illness or accident, we will refund 50% of the costs if an athlete contacts us by 12 June 2020 and presents a medical certificate. After this date a refund is excluded.

Limited starting places: A maximum of 45 athletes can participate in all four Swissultra competitions in 2020. If more than 45 athletes register, a waiting list will be kept. A competition will be held with a minimum of five participants. If this minimum number is not reached by 1 May 2020, the organizers reserve the right to cancel the competition. 

ENTRY FEE

The entry fee for the DECA is CHF 2860. Two discount levels offer the possibility to save up to 10%. swissultra is organised by a non-profit association whose members organise competitions with a great deal of passion and pure volunteer work. The aim is to ensure that all competitions are self-supporting. The entry fees and the sponsors' money contribute significantly to the high quality and "all inclusive" service. 

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT

Anyone who registers before 1st March 2020 and makes the advanced payment will benefit from a 5% discount.

Total price with 5% discount: CHF 2717
1st payment: CHF 1300, payable by 1 March 2020
2nd payment: CHF 1417, payable by 1 July 2020

REPEAT DISCOUNT

Every athlete* who has already participated in a swissultra race in 2019 will receive a 5% discount on the entry fee for 2020. If you make the advance payment by 1 March 2020 will also benefit from the early bird discount and even save 10%.

1st payment: CHF 1300, payable by 1 March 2020
2nd payment: CHF 1274, payable by 1 July 2020

Registration after 1 March 2020, total price with 5% discount: CHF 2717, payable by 1 July 2020

*The 5% repeat discount also applies to athletes who registered and deregistered in 2019 and have paid at least the first deposit.

BENEFITS


The entry fee includes the following services:

  • Meals: Sandwiches, soup and up to two hot meals per day, including salad and dessert.
  • The kitchen is open from approximately 6am until the last athlete reaches the finish line (3am in the morning the latest).
  • 1-2 food stands on the track with water, other drinks, snacks and fruits (the range of food and drinks is depending on the weather).
  • Food and drinks for all athletes at the pre race briefing event, up to 2 crew people / supporters are invited as well.

 

  

 

  • Fully covered transition zone with refrigerators, freezers, warm showers and toilets nearby.
  • Electricity and Internet access (WLAN) in the supporter area.
  • Bicycle service on site or on request with pickup and delivery service.
  • Free entry to the swimming pool area for all athletes and supporters.
  • Massage service (upon availability of massage therapists).

 

 

 

  • Illumination of the running track and supporter area during the night.
  • Start package with personalized starter shirt and goodies.
  • Finisher trophy, finisher shirt and other gifts.
  • Award ceremony and aperitif for athletes, supporters and relatives (food is included for up to 2 accompanying persons per athlete).

All Swissultra races are part of the IUTA World Cup 2020. Swissultra accepts the official IUTA rules. The Swissultra regulations are an addition to the IUTA rules.

IUTA CONSENT FORM

The IUTA Consent Form is to be completed and signed by any participant and must be handed over to the organizer on site before the start of the competition.

Waiver Swissultra 2020

The waiver document must be printed and signed by the participant before the race starts. You can either send a scan or photo of the document by email to info@swissultra.ch or bring it to the briefing.

Medical certificate swissultra – DECA day 2020

The medical certificate has to be handed over to the event organizer during the briefing, together with the signed waiver of liability. Without the medical certificate and the signed waiver of liability an athlete will not be allowed to participate in the race. You can also bring your own valid medical certificate that must not be older than 1 year.
